Bulldog Training Tips

If you want to train your bulldog, you must understand some basic things. First, you should be very consistent. Consistency is something that your dog will understand easily. If your bulldog knows that a certain thing would likely to happen if does or does not cooperate, then that would be a factor that will prod Bulldog Training Tipshim or her to do or not do what you want. For instance, if your bulldog understands that you will give him or her a cookie if he or she performs a trick, he or she is more likely to cooperate to get his or her price.

You should make sure that you do not reward any unwanted behaviors in your dog. Note that the bulldog is dominant in nature thus you should be very assertive when training your dog especially when you are doing some bulldog obedience training. Always let the dog know that you mean business when you give out a command. Bulldogs are very intelligent and perceptive creatures that if you give it a chance to take advantage of you, it will take advantage of you.

There are many people who make the mistake of treating the bulldog like a child or an equal member of the family because this will make the dog act spoiled. For instance, if you teat your dog like a child, it will act like a spoiled brat and will not really cooperate with you especially during bulldog potty training. When bulldog training, you should always show your dog that you are the leader of the pack and it should follow your command. Bulldogs understand supremacy so you should always work around the idea of supremacy when bulldog training. When your bulldog knows who is the boss around the house, it will not be hard for you to do bulldog obedience training.
